Instrumentation Technician with Pharmaceutical Work Experience Eagle Electrical Group, Inc Raleigh, NC Job Details Full-time From $55 an hour 9 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication E & I Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Technician with proven pharmaceutical industry experience to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibrating complex instrumentation systems critical to pharmaceutical production processes. Your expertise in electrical, mechanical, and automation systems will ensure seamless operation, compliance with industry standards, and optimal equipment performance. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated professionals eager to contribute to high-quality pharmaceutical manufacturing through technical excellence and proactive maintenance. Duties Perform installation, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation equipment including sensors, flow meters, pressure transmitters, and vision inspection systems. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters and calibrators. Maintain and repair distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and high/low voltage electrical systems to ensure continuous operation. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on hydraulic systems, CNC machinery, and other manufacturing equipment. Interpret technical drawings using AutoCAD and other design tools to assist with system upgrades or modifications. Support field service activities by diagnosing problems on-site at manufacturing facilities or customer locations. Ensure compliance with safety standards including high voltage protocols, calibration procedures, and industry-specific regulations. Skills Extensive knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and industrial maintenance practices within a pharmaceutical environment. Proficiency with industrial electrician experience including low voltage, high voltage, sensors, calibration tools, and schematics interpretation. Strong understanding of E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) principles combined with experience in vision inspection systems and sensors integration. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), Calypso software, and AutoCAD for system design and troubleshooting. Ability to read technical drawings accurately using precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters and calipers. Experience working with CNC machinery or other automated manufacturing equipment is a plus. Knowledge of safety protocols related to high voltage work, field service operations, and pharmaceutical industry standards. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients.
