Job Description

As a Quality Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our manufacturing processes in the calibration department. Your expertise in calibrations and gauge documentation will be instrumental in upholding the integrity of our products. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with our production teams, providing valuable insights and ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. You will also organize outsourced calibrations and in-house visits for specialty production machines, while maintaining calibration schedules and participating in external audits annually. Job responsibilities Calibration of Gages by due date. Get quotes for outside sourced calibration. Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques. Maintain calibration standards. Fulfil duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with company requirements and standards. Issue purchase requisition for outside sourced calibrations. Monitor PR's to make sure they get approved. Have PO's received when gages arrive back after calibration. Schedule pick up for Trescal gages needing picked up for calibration. Ship gages out via fed ex to other vendors Schedule in-house calibration done by outside sources. Issue risk assessments for gages that fail calibration. Issue lost gage reports for gages that cannot be located for calibration. Keep GageTrak updated when gage status changes (Lost, out for calibration, scraped etc.) Keep outside sourced calibration venders list updated with current ISO certificates. Get quotes for new or replacement gages as the need arises. Keep the calibration lab clean and orderly. Other duties as assigned

Annual Salary:
$55,000 - $69,000 Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Control, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality control role, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Expertise in calibration techniques and an understanding of measurement instruments. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes. Proficiency in using quality control software and data analysis tools. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with industry-specific quality standards and regulations is preferred. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and processes. Conduct thorough calibration of measurement instruments to ensure accuracy and precision. Maintain accurate and up-to-date gauge documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with production teams to identify and address any quality issues promptly. Implement and maintain a robust quality control system, including documentation and record-keeping. Perform regular audits and inspections to identify potential quality risks and implement preventive measures. Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control best practices. Work closely with the engineering team to develop and improve measurement processes. Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and areas for process improvement. Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and regulations, such as
ISO 9001.
