Arcade Game Technician 5120 Corey Road, Winterville, NC 28590 From $20 an hour - Part-time From $20 an hour - Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Arcade Game Technician to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide variety of arcade gaming equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will keep our entertainment venues lively and engaging by ensuring all arcade machines are operating smoothly and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine mechanical skills, technical knowledge, and a passion for gaming into a rewarding career. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative care on arcade game hardware to prevent malfunctions. Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and computer hardware issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Utilize hand tools, low voltage testers, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot equipment problems accurately. Conduct field service visits to various locations for on-site repairs and maintenance of arcade machines. Replace or repair components such as circuit boards, monitors, coin mechanisms, power supplies, and control systems. Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and troubleshooting steps taken. Collaborate with team members to improve equipment reliability and implement upgrades or modifications as needed. Skills Proven experience in field service or service technician roles specializing in electronic or mechanical equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams. Proficiency with hand tools, low voltage testing devices, and electrical measurement instruments like ohmmeters. Knowledge of computer hardware components, networking basics, and troubleshooting computer-related issues within arcade systems. Familiarity with equipment repair procedures including diagnostics, component replacement, and system calibration. Ability to work independently in various environments while adhering to safety protocols related to low voltage systems. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
