Job Description

Job purpose The Electronic Technician is responsible for installation, troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical, electrical and electronic assemblies and systems. Work includes production, engineering setups, installations, testing, certification, and repair. Duties and responsibilities Assembles and modifies sub-assemblies, final assemblies and systems per manufacturing drawings and instructions. Accountable for all projects through completion including coordination with production, purchasing, engineering and quality as needed. Design, communicate, estimate and implement electronic circuits and PLC programming. Perform required LOTO for all machine work according to established requirements. Tests production machines to ensure proper operation per established test criteria. Troubleshoots electronics down to the component level to determine cause and remedy of any malfunction. May conduct detailed experimental testing. Performs required repairs, mechanical and electrical to return unit to operational state. Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical problems to determine root cause of issue and recommend/implement a corrective action to completion. Sets up and tests units to meet specified requirements. Recognizes failures and set up problems, isolates problems and takes appropriate action to resolve them. Inspects all work before passing on to the next operation. Keeps supervisor apprised of all unresolved and/or potential problems that would negatively affect production schedules. Fills out paperwork completely and accurately as required. Provides support to the Maintenance, Operations and Production Supervisors on all production assignments. Works in other departments and/or miscellaneous assignments as directed. Qualifications Able to read and understand electrical drawings and create drawings utilizing Solid Works Experience using DVM, Oscilloscope, PLC logic for various brands, hand tools Excellent soldering skills a must Advanced training in electronic theory, from a technical trade school, military training, an Associate degree program, or multiple years of on the job training required. Ability to Working conditions Stand work week is Monday through Friday, hours to be consistent with business unit; some off hours work expected Physical requirements Must be able to lift a minimum of 45 pounds and be able to physically assist with server moves and equipment relocation Occasionally, must be able to climb ladders to install/manage equipment #FMW Arnold Magnetic Technologies is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected status or characteristic.
