Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician Location:
East Hanover, NJ Pay Rate:
$28•$38/hr (Depending on experience)
Schedule:
Monday•Friday; 8:00 AM•4:00 PM Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturer. If you are an expert at troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems—including 480V to 24V systems —and have a solid foundation in equipment calibration, this is the role for you. This position is critical for ensuring that all production and facility equipment operates safely and reliably. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our machinery, focusing heavily on preventive maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and routine equipment calibration to ensure machinery accuracy.
Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Repair:
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on rotary equipment, chemical process machinery, CNC machinery, and facility assets to ensure optimal performance.
Technical Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electrical issues, including systems ranging from 480V to 24V.
Calibration:
Perform scheduled calibration tasks using precision measuring equipment to ensure machinery accuracy and compliance.
Equipment Support:
Assist with the installation, qualification, and validation of new or modified industrial production equipment.
Documentation:
Maintain meticulous maintenance records, logs, and technical documentation in accordance with company policies.
Vendor Coordination:
Identify equipment deficiencies and coordinate complex repairs with external vendors and service providers when necessary.
Required Qualifications Experience:
3+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or facility maintenance.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. (An active Electrical License or Trade School certification is highly highly desired!) .
Technical Skills:
• Expertise in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems (up to 480V). Proficient in calibration principles and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings. Proficiency with specialized hand tools and test equipment.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Experience in highly regulated environments such as Aerospace, Medical Device, Food Manufacturing, or Pharmaceutical. Knowledge of
ISO 9001, ISO/IEC
17025, or GMP standards. Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Physical Requirements & Work Environment Environment:
Ability to work on a manufacturing floor or laboratory setting, including exposure to noise, machinery, and chemicals with proper PPE.
Physical Demands:
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and meet all physical demands of a manufacturing/laboratory environment.
Pay:
$28.00•$38.00 per hour
