Electromechanical Technician 86 5th Avenue, Paterson, NJ 07524 $27.30 - $38.88 an hour - Full-time $27.30 - $38.88 an hour - Full-time Accurate Box Company is a Litho-Laminated Corrugated Box Manufacturer located in Paterson, NJ. We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to troubleshoot and perform repairs on manufacturing plant and utility equipment. The position is for 2nd or 3rd shift. Overtime hours required in a unionized shop. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with OT on weekends as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems including corrugators, die-cutters, gluers, conveyors, strappers, wrappers and related production equipment. Experience with waste handling systems is a plus (bale compactors, blowers). Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLCs, motors, drives, relays, contactors, sensors and other electrical and control components. Perform electro-mechanical repairs on motors, gearboxes, pumps, chain or belt conveyors, motion systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Perform preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and machine cleaning assigned. Accurately record maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance (PM), and work orders in the CMMS system. Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and adhere to all company safety standards and key safety practices.

Additional Responsibilities:

Communicate daily with supervisors regarding repairs, machine performance, and equipment issues. Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform miscellaneous maintenance assignments as required. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs. Proficient in electrical and electronic circuits, sensors, encoders, and automation systems. Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed. Experience with corrugating equipment such as Bobst die cutters, laminators, and gluers is highly preferred. Knowledge of printing press equipment is a plus. Welding skills are a plus. Piping and fabrication skills are a plus. Accurate Box Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
