Job Description:

To read more about this, view the poster and this Operates, maintains, repairs, and installs various types of electronic hardware associated with Global Positioning System (GPS) transmitting and receiving equipment; personal/mainframe computers and peripherals; industrial, measuring, and controlling equipment; and industrial robotic devices. Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skill in restoring equipment operations. Uses knowledge of Microsoft software and networking to perform daily duties. Applies technical knowledge to perform simple or routine O&M tasks following detailed instructions. Performs such tasks as operating electronic instrumentation equipment, replacing components and wiring circuits; repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. Verifies that GPS equipment is operating within OEM and support parameters prior to test support. Ensures site records comply with established procedures. Receives technical guidance, as required from supervisor or higher-level technician. Work is spot-checked for accuracy. Performs other duties as required. Communicates and works effectively with supervisors, coworkers, Government and other personnel. Work will include associated cross-utilization into other jobs as required.
