Summary We are seeking an experienced or aspiring automation systems installer to join our dynamic team at TEK-IT. In this role, you will be responsible for installing advanced home automation and audio/video systems to meet our clients' needs. Responsibilities Implement audio-visual systems for residential and commercial projects. Install cabling, hardware, and equipment according to specifications. Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on existing systems to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with clients, builders, and subcontractors to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions. Utilize schematics to guide installation processes effectively. Conduct field service visits to address technical issues as they arise. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance service offerings. Document installation progress, changes, and service logs in a timely manner. Requirements 3 or more years of experience in construction. Strong knowledge of automation hardware and low voltage systems. Familiarity with cabling techniques and installation best practices. Ability to use hand tools and follow standard construction methods effectively. Must be able to read and understand blueprints, schematics, work orders, and technical specification documents. Experience with control systems preferred (Control4 and Lutron preferred, Savant and Crestron accepted). Basic software troubleshooting skills. Basic project management software knowledge required.
