Every other Friday off Insurance benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability, are available first of the month after hire 2 weeks of paid time off per year 9 paid holidays 401k with employer match Job Summary The Test Technician repairs, troubleshoots and evaluates production boards/units. The Test Technician also supports evaluations, repairs of RMA units, and facilitates records of their findings. This position, also referred to as a bench technician, works on the production floor. Responsibilities Tests electronic components and circuits to locate defects, using oscilloscopes, signal generators, amp meters, and voltmeters and other measurement equipment as required. Replaces defective components and wiring. Maintains records of repairs, calibrations, and tests and documents related processes. Examines and adjusts or repairs finished products, components, or parts. Repairs mechanical parts, using hand tools and soldering iron. Works closely with production and equipment operators to ascertain problems with products and equipment before breakdown or cause of breakdown. Enters information into computer to copy program from one electronic component to another, or to draw, modify, or store schematics. Education/ Experience Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Troubleshoot & repair printed circuit boards down to the component level. 3 years' experience in the electronics industry preferred. Electronic trade school experience/certification or equivalent work experience. Intermediate level computer skills. IPC training/certification is a plus.
