Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Field Technician to support advanced electronic warfare systems at military installations throughout the United States. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers the chance to work hands-on with sophisticated radar, RF, and electronic warfare equipment while supporting critical defense operations. This role is based in Buffalo, NY, though alternative home-base locations may be considered. Extensive travel is required, including domestic and occasional international assignments.

Key Responsibilities:
Travel to military installations across the United States to perform upgrades, maintenance, and repairs on electronic warfare systems Install engineering modifications, hardware updates, and system enhancements Troubleshoot complex radar, RF, and electronic systems to identify and resolve performance issues Operate electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, power meters, and related diagnostic tools Perform preventive maintenance and system verification testing Document work performed and provide status updates to project stakeholders Work closely with engineering and program teams to support field operations Ensure equipment readiness and operational performance at customer locations
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 4 years of field technician experience, OR Associate degree in a technical discipline plus 2 years of related experience Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools Experience troubleshooting and repairing radar, RF, electronic warfare, communications, or other complex electronic systems Ability to travel up to 100% as required Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds Must be a U.S. Citizen Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (interim clearance acceptable to start)
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related technical field Military electronics, radar, RF, or electronic warfare training Customer-facing field service experience Experience supporting RF systems, radar systems, or electronic warfare equipment Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in complex electronic environments
Pay:
$55.00 - $58.00 per hour
