Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Emergency Vehicle Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting emergency vehicle equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will directly contribute to the readiness and reliability of emergency response vehicles, supporting first responders in critical situations. Responsibilities Install emergency lighting, sirens, communication systems, and other specialized equipment on various types of vehicles Conduct thorough inspections of installed components to ensure proper functionality and safety standards are met Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to assemble, modify, or repair vehicle systems Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks to support the installation process and maintain vehicle readiness Utilize technical tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical circuits and diagnose wiring issues Troubleshoot and resolve installation or operational problems promptly to minimize downtime Document all installation procedures, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately for record-keeping and compliance purposes Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working on vehicles or related equipment Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters Experience with vehicle maintenance, repair, or customization is highly desirable Strong understanding of electrical systems and wiring diagrams relevant to emergency vehicle equipment Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols diligently Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods Join us in this vital role where your technical skills will directly impact emergency response effectiveness.
