Job Description
Job Title:
Engineering Test Technician Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and mechanically/ electrically inclined Engineering Test Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. This individual will play a key role in the testing and validation of precision sensing components, supporting both product development and production efforts. The ideal candidate is a go-getter with a strong mechanical foundation, a keen interest in learning, and a solid understanding of electrical testing principles. Key Responsibilities- Set up and execute mechanical and electrical tests on precision sensing components and assemblies.
- Operate and maintain test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, calipers, micrometers, and other hand tools.
- Interpret engineering drawings, test procedures, and technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues during testing.
- Record, analyze, and report test data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to support root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Assist in the development and refinement of test fixtures and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company and industry standards.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, calipers, and other precision tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with small components and assemblies.
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits and signal testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and grow within a high-tech environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
Preferred:
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability industries.
- Familiarity with environmental testing (vibration, thermal, etc.).
- Knowledge of data acquisition systems and test automation tools.
