This position offers paid training, company-supplied tools, and continuous support to help you build a successful career as a Fiber Technician.

Training Location:
Blacklick, OH 43004 (Hotel accommodations if distance qualified)
Training Start Date:
June 29th
Pay Rate:
$23.00 per hour during training and after training Key Responsibilities Install, route, and terminate fiber-optic cables in residential and outdoor environments Properly secure fiber lines following company guidelines and procedures Conduct testing to ensure network reliability and service quality Troubleshoot and correct signal or connectivity problems Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service work performed Provide excellent customer service during installations and support visits Collaborate with coworkers to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule Follow all company policies and safety regulations at all times Training Program Instructor-led classroom training focused on fiber-optic systems, safety practices, and equipment operation Practical field experience working alongside trained Fiber Technicians Opportunity to transition into a full-time Fiber Technician role supporting customers throughout the Columbus area upon successful completion of training Benefits Earn $23 per hour starting on day one Paid technical training program Company vehicle, tools, uniforms, fuel card, and safety equipment provided Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and employee stock purchase plan Career growth opportunities with potential for long-term advancement Requirements Ability to lift and carry between 60 and 80 pounds Comfortable working on ladders up to 36 feet high Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history Ability to successfully complete a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record review High school diploma or GED required Previous fiber-optic experience is preferred, but not required Start building your future in the fiber-optic industry with MasTec Advanced Technologies.
