Full Job Description Summary:
The Installation/Repair Technician is responsible for driving to customers' homes using a company vehicle to install or repair electronic systems and devices used to support individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. Technicians will also review and train customers on Equipment use and services
Principal Duties:
Install, repair, replace, service and test various types of electronic equipment. Performs component-level repairs or makes modifications of equipment. Monitor systems, participate in troubleshooting and determination of electrical, mechanical, network, and software faults and effect repairs. Follow up to inform department of current problem status and ensure issue is resolved. Inspect equipment, perform functional testing, preventive maintenance, and provide system administration and appropriate documentation for maintenance activities. Provide system user training and outstanding customer support to Clients and Customers Troubleshoot and resolve issues with alarms and security systems. Identify any risk to customers and provide effective solutions. Identifies opportunities of improvement where technology solutions can be leveraged. Use all available systems to document and communicate system and repair statuses. Exhibit exceptional work habits and passion and by so doing inspire others. Subject to being on-call or called back to work. May be required to work flexible hours and/or overtime as required. Occasionally you may need to work on "out of town" trips (up to 5 hours drive time) with the requirement to stay the night and return the next day.
