With 8 years of hands-on experience overhauling chillers, you know how to bring complex equipment back to peak performance—and you enjoy the challenge. A Day in the Life Morning starts with a quick review of overnight trends from the chiller plant. You scan logs, spot a subtle efficiency dip, and schedule an adjustment to optimize load and setpoints. Before lunch, you're deep into a planned teardown on a chiller you've slated for overhaul—verifying tolerances, replacing worn components, and documenting every step. In the afternoon, you partner with a teammate at the cooling tower, chase down a vibration anomaly, and close the loop with precise repairs. You wrap the day by updating maintenance records and mapping out a preventive plan that will keep the system humming. What You'll Do Perform routine and corrective maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and associated equipment. Continuously monitor performance, making data-driven adjustments to maximize efficiency and uptime. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues across chiller systems and related components; execute timely repairs. Maintain accurate service logs, PM records, and performance documentation. Collaborate closely with HVAC teammates to ensure seamless facility operation. Work safely, adhering to all protocols and regulations at every step. Assist with installations, retrofits, and system upgrades as needed. What You Bring 8 years of experience overhauling chillers; proven background as a Chiller Plant Technician or similar role. High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC technical training or certification preferred. Deep understanding of chiller operations and broader HVAC systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics. Strong troubleshooting, repair, and attention-to-detail mindset. Clear communicator and effective team player. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
