Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Product Repair/Mod Tech A for a contract opportunity in Heath, OH.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
(REQUIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
):
  • Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance post-start
  • Ability to work off shift (2nd/3rd).
  • 1 or more years of experience working with tools and following work instructions.
  • Basic computer skills required including Microsoft office applications.
  • Willingness to work with beryllium and/or other chemicals if needed.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes. Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components. Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications. Assists with performs tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations). Works under supervision.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
):
  • Experience in the inspection of parts, components, assemblies or units.
  • 1 or more years' experience soldering and assembly of equipment components.
  • 1 or more years' experience using handheld tools and/or power tools.
  • Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings and specifications.
  • 1 or more years working under a microscope.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).
  • Education MUST be accredited
  • WORK HOURS
  • Full-Time
  • Position will have a 1st shift training period, then will move to 2nd or 3rd shift.
ADDITIONAL
  • Candidate must have the ability to obtain a security clearance post-start
