JOB SUMMARY
This position will support Test Engineers, Validation/Reliability Engineers and/or the Lab Manger in all aspects of laboratory testing and operations. The Technician role will consist of setting up test stands (environmental/vibration/electrical), installing test parts, following designated procedures and actively testing parts to validate conformance. Testing will include collecting data to be used in Laboratory test reports and setting up continuous monitoring equipment when appropriate. Testing will be in accordance with internal and customer specifications.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional testing of products Assisting Test Engineers in test set-up (environmental/vibration/electrical) Data collection of electrical, force and actuation Data reporting Conducting daily test system checks Engage in continuous improvement activities Other related duties as manager designates
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
Associate Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) Understanding of Electrical measurement equipment concepts Understanding of Mechanical measurement equipment concepts Understanding of Thermal measurement equipment concepts Understanding of Dimensional measurement equipment concepts Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools. Strong Excel required. Attention to details - Ability to recognize anomalies and communicate the occurrence Safety - Must be able to work with unguarded equipment and processes typical of a lab environment. Must exhibit awareness of such conditions and request training if questions arise concerning any process, equipment of operation.
LOCATION ANDTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Located in Lexington, Ohio Some travel required less than 5%
