Job Description

Shape the Finish of Life‑Changing Devices As a Medical Device Post‑Processing Technician, you'll take precision‑machined components and guide them through the final finishing steps that meet exacting customer specifications. Your day blends hands‑on craftsmanship with disciplined documentation to ensure every part is safe, compliant, and ready for the clinical world. A Day in the Life You begin by reviewing specification sheets and production priorities, then set up the Visual Laser Marker (VLM) software to laser‑etch unique identifiers. After marking, you transition pieces through ultrasonic cleaning, blasting, tumbling, and passivation. You'll assemble components when required, verify quality, and package and label finished products. Throughout, you follow SOPs, GMPs, and GDPs, practice 5S, and keep safety front and center. What You'll Do Execute finishing operations to customer specifications for precision medical components. Perform laser etching and demonstrate mastery of Visual Laser Marker (VLM) software. Operate ultrasonic cleaning, blasting, tumbling, and passivation processes. Assemble components as required; prepare, box, and label finished product. Follow SOPs, GMPs, GDPs; uphold all safety rules and area 5S expectations. Meet quality and throughput goals while maintaining accuracy in a fast‑paced setting. Inspect finished work, document results, and recommend rework when standards aren't met. Meet all company and area expectations; perform other duties as assigned. What You'll Bring High school diploma or GED; 1-3 months of related industry experience/training (or equivalent combination). Ability to read and follow specification sheets, diagrams, and blueprints; follow written and verbal instructions. Basic math skills for tolerances and variation; foundational knowledge of CNC concepts, laser operation, and parameters. Skilled with measuring devices and hand tools; mechanically inclined with strong dexterity using hand and power tools. Excellent vision and hand‑eye coordination. Consistent accuracy at speed; proven adherence to safe production standards and quality/quantity quotas. Comfort inspecting finished product and recommending rework when needed. Basic scripting literacy (e.g., Visual Basic/VBScript) and fluency in Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word. Understanding of fixture concepts.
