Industrial Electrical Maintenance Specialist

About the Role As an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will ensure the seamless operation of high-speed manufacturing lines by diagnosing and repairing complex automated systems. You will play a vital role in maximizing equipment uptime and driving continuous improvement through your expertise in PLC programming and industrial electrical troubleshooting. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve technical issues across injection molding, blow molding, and auxiliary production machinery to maintain optimal throughput. Execute preventative maintenance schedules on mechanical and electrical systems to prevent unplanned downtime. Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces, specifically utilizing Allen Bradley platforms to optimize machine performance. Analyze electrical schematics and blueprints to perform precise repairs on 3-phase circuits, AC/DC drives, and servo motors. Lead root cause analysis initiatives to identify recurring equipment failures and implement long-term corrective solutions. Maintain a high standard of workplace organization and safety compliance in accordance with 5S and OSHA guidelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document maintenance procedures and train staff on new equipment modifications. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience troubleshooting industrial automation, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and high-voltage power systems. Expertise in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints. Proficiency with precision diagnostic tools such as multimeters, micrometers, and voltage testers. Strong understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and industrial safety protocols. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs independently and work effectively with minimal supervision. Preferred Skills Prior experience in a high-volume plastic injection or blow molding environment. Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise maintenance management software. Advanced certification or technical training in industrial electronics or automation.
