Position Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Automation and Controls Engineer. In this dynamic role, you will design, develop, and optimize automated systems that enhance production efficiency, quality, and safety. Your expertise will drive the integration of robotics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and vision inspection systems to streamline operations and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, program, and troubleshoot robotic systems, including Fanuc robots and other industrial automation equipment. Design and interpret schematics and technical drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks to support system installation and maintenance. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate tooling, machining, and mechanical components into automated systems. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical and control issues. Perform system testing, calibration, and documentation to ensure reliable operation of automated equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience with robot programming, especially Fanuc or similar robotic platforms. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD software for designing or modifying automation components. Knowledge of vision inspection systems and their integration into manufacturing processes. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities to collaborate across teams effectively.
