Shift:

1st, 6:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday (Overtime)

Rate:

$23.00-$32.00 (Based on experience) Job Summary We are seeking skilled and motivated Connectivity Technicians (fiber/wire) to join our team! The ideal candidate will possess a basic understanding of computer networking principles, an interest in pursuing a career in IT/Fiber Splicing, and system administration practices. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development and support of robust IT infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties:

Perform basic testing on network switches and fiber connections Test, validate, and troubleshoot connectivity issues Verify port assignments and ensure systems are working properly Record and submit test results accurately Label and document cables and network components Identify and verify cable types and color codes (fiber and copper) Work from service tickets to complete assigned tasks Communicate with team members and supervisors on progress Support ongoing projects in data centers and client sites Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Participate in safety meetings and training Work in a variety of environments, including data centers and construction sites

Qualifications:

No prior experience required - training will be provided Interest in technology, networking, or hands-on work (gamers, computer builders, etc. wanted!) Fiber splicing skills are highly desired (not necessary - huge plus) Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new tools Ability to work on ladders or lifts when needed Eager to learn and grow in a technical field Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and documentation Reliable, punctual, and professional Comfortable working with your hands and in a fast-paced, high-security, or mission critical setting A team player with a positive attitude Willing to ask questions and learn new skills Must be local to or able to commute to Columbus / New Albany, OH area Must provide ASTM-rated composite toe boots (all other PPE provided) Must pass background check and drug screening Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed
