This role will support automated production lines used to build structural components for EV applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting, automation equipment, mechanical assembly, and supporting engineering changes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Support installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated manufacturing equipment Perform electrical work involving PLCs, HMIs, control panels, sensors, wiring, and automation systems Troubleshoot equipment faults, wiring issues, input/output problems, and machine communication issues Assist with mechanical assembly, adjustment, and modification of automated production lines Support engineering changes, equipment upgrades, tooling changes, and process improvements Work with engineers, maintenance teams, and production personnel to resolve equipment and process issues Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, assembly prints, and technical documentation Assist with line setup, equipment validation, testing, and production readiness activities Perform minor spot welding as needed to support production or equipment-related requirements Document work performed, communicate issues clearly, and support continuous improvement efforts Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures within a high-volume manufacturing environment Qualifications Hands-on experience as an Engineering Technician, Automation Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar role Experience working with automated manufacturing equipment or production lines Electrical troubleshooting experience with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, wiring, controls, and industrial equipment Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Mechanical assembly experience involving automation equipment, tooling, fixtures, conveyors, or production machinery Experience supporting engineering changes, equipment modifications, or production line improvements Basic understanding of spot welding is preferred, but heavy welding experience is not required Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting Experience in automotive, EV, automation, robotics, or high-volume manufacturing is a plus Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with engineering, maintenance, and production teams Preferred Experience PLC and HMI troubleshooting Industrial wiring and control panel experience Automated assembly lines Robotics, conveyors, sensors, actuators, pneumatics, or vision systems Automotive or electric vehicle manufacturing Tier 1 supplier manufacturing environment Mechanical build, equipment installation, and line modification experience
