Job Title:
Electronics Repair Technician (Level II) $24.00 - $28.50/hour Job Description The Electronics Repair Technician (Level II) assembles, repairs, and tests electronic aircraft components for power generation and electrical systems. Working at a bench in a clean, audited facility, this role focuses on small-part electronic assembly and repair using technical data, schematics, and test equipment. The technician ensures all work meets quality, safety, and turn-around-time requirements while supporting continuous improvement in the shop and facility. Responsibilities Assemble and repair electronic aircraft components in accordance with technical data, drawings, and specifications. Perform small-part electronic assembly at a bench across assigned product lines within power and electrical systems. Solder electronic components using appropriate tools and techniques, following applicable standards and certifications. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic diagrams to diagnose and complete repairs. Use electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools to test, troubleshoot, and validate components. Troubleshoot and debug electronic circuits, printed circuit boards, and avionics-related systems to identify and resolve faults. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with required Turn-Around-Time (TAT) and quality standards. Maintain accurate methods, operation sequences, and processes in the manufacture and repair of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. Perform scheduled shop audits and support compliance with internal and external quality requirements. Carry out area cleaning and routine maintenance tasks as posted or required to keep the work area safe and organized. Participate actively in shop and facility continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback on processes and tools. Handle electronic parts, circuit boards, and power generation equipment components with care to prevent damage and ensure reliability. Coordinate with team members and project stakeholders to support timely completion of repair and assembly work. Follow all safety procedures and work instructions when using power tools, test equipment, and hand tools. Essential Skills At least two years of electronic assembly experience, preferably in the aerospace industry. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electronic schematics. Hands-on experience soldering electronic components, including through-hole and surface-mount parts. Experience using electronic test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes for testing and troubleshooting. Strong electronics troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing issues in electronic circuits and printed circuit boards. Ability to work from technical data, work instructions, and process documentation. Familiarity with electronic repair practices, including handling electronic parts and circuit boards. Capability to follow established methods, operation sequences, and processes in manufacturing and repair. Attention to detail and commitment to meeting quality and turn-around-time requirements. Comfort working with power tools and standard electronic hand tools at a bench. Ability to participate in audits, maintain a clean work area, and follow shop standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Avionics background or experience with avionics systems and avionics electrical systems is preferred. Experience with avionics repair and avionics electrical troubleshooting. Familiarity with power generation equipment such as rectifiers, transformers, and ground power units (GPUs). Solder certification or formal training in soldering techniques is a plus. Experience working with electronic test software or testing software tools. Knowledge of electronic engineering principles related to circuit design and analysis is beneficial. Experience with project coordination within a repair or manufacturing environment. Ability to read and work from detailed schematics and wiring diagrams for complex electronic systems. Experience debugging and testing printed circuit boards and circuit board assemblies. Comfort using voltmeters and other diagnostic instruments to verify performance and troubleshoot issues. A strong interest in tinkering or a hobby involving electrical or electronic components, repairs, or builds. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work takes place in a clean, FAA-audited facility where all tasks are performed at a bench. The typical schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing a consistent daytime shift. You will work primarily with small electronic products roughly the size of two shoe boxes, focusing on detailed bench-level assembly and repair. The environment emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and adherence to documented processes, with regular shop audits and continuous improvement activities. Standard electronic tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and test instruments such as multimeters and oscilloscopes are used regularly in this role. Dress is appropriate for an electronics repair and assembly setting, prioritizing safety and professionalism. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Twinsburg, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.80/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
