JOB SUMMARY
The Technician is responsible for providing operational, technical, electrical, and mechanical support for all facility equipment. Incumbents are responsible for a variety of tasks involved in troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, installing, repairing, and operating equipment within an assigned area. Ensure the reliability of equipment, and accurate measurement and quality of product transported through the system. This is considered an intermediate or journey-level position that the incumbent can perform independently or with minimal supervision. The schedule for this position is M-F, days, with some overtime and call-out. Job Profile Summary The Technician is responsible for providing operational, technical, electrical, and mechanical support for all facility assets. Incumbents are responsible for a variety of tasks involved in troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment within an assigned area. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Provide technical support for assigned location(s), which primarily involve the transportation of crude oil, refined products, and other liquids associated with the refining process. Maintain a working knowledge of company policies/procedures as they relate to the operation/maintenance of the assigned assets, including System Integrity Plan (SIP) and OQ requirements and implement them into location work practices. Attend and actively participate in required safety training meetings. Perform routine testing, inspection, and maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all assigned mainline and facility equipment/systems, including but not limited to: pumps, electric motors, electrical equipment, electronic and/or pneumatic instrumentation, programmable logic controllers, measurement systems, product testing & analysis, piping systems, valves, centrifugal, positive displacement pumps, positive displacement meters, turbine meters, and similar other equipment and systems. Complete and maintain required documentation/records associated with performed maintenance and repair. Manage location projects, including major overhauls, troubleshooting for pumps and mechanical seals, new installations, or modifications of existing equipment, etc. Perform other functions as requested by Supervisor Education High school diploma required Work Experience Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including but not limited to: Manual/power tools Electronic testing devices Control devices Experience and training related to Computers and related software Governmental rules, regulations, and (electric) codes Company policies and procedures including safe handling practices for flammable gases, liquids, and high pressure systems Reliability Based Programs Experience reading and interpreting repair orders, mechanical drawings, procedures, charts, diagrams, dials, gauges, and equipment manuals Experience preparing, processing, or verifying maintenance and repair records, safety and environmental reports, electrical schematics and diagrams, pressure readings, and material and supply ordersKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of:
the use and function of reciprocating or gas turbine engines, compressors, and electronic and processing equipment applicable to positionKnowledge of:
