This role follows the Maintenance Technician III scope, with a focus on candidates experienced in CNC machinery. 1st Shift (Maintenance Technician III): Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM Mandatory overtime on Saturdays per management (1 opening) Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is essential in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery and related equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex CNC systems, including their electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on CNC machines and associated equipment to minimize downtime Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, calibration tools, and precision measuring instruments Repair and replace defective components such as sensors, motors, sensors, relays, and controllers Calibrate CNC systems and peripheral devices to ensure precision and accuracy in manufacturing processes Maintain detailed maintenance records and update schematics using AutoCAD or similar design software Support field service activities by diagnosing issues on-site at various production locations Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize machine performance and implement upgrades or modifications Conduct electrical work involving low voltage, high voltage, and distributed control systems in compliance with safety standards Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs), vision inspection systems, and Calypso software for troubleshooting and system adjustments Assist in training operators on basic maintenance procedures and safety protocols
Skills:
Extensive knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems used in industrial machinery Proven experience as an industrial electrician with strong electrical troubleshooting skills Familiarity with E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) systems and schematics interpretation Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters, calipers, micrometers, and sensors Experience with CNC machinery maintenance including calibration of sensors and actuators Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and automation software such as Calypso Ability to read technical drawings using AutoCAD or similar CAD software Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality inspection techniques including vision inspection systems Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Experience working with high voltage systems safely in accordance with industry standards Background in military or industrial maintenance environments is advantageous This position requires a proactive approach to maintenance management combined with technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing setting. #
