ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
- Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the electrical field. Must have experience with PLCs, VFDs and wiring control panels. Must be able to read schematics and troubleshoot. For example, someone with mostly electrical experience in the residential/commercial industry is not going to be qualified. Must be able to communicate and understand English. Starting pay = $22-25/hr. DOE. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our manufacturing and industrial maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across various industrial processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with advanced automation systems, control panels, and precision instruments, ensuring optimal operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive electrical experience, including working with high and low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, and vision inspection systems. They will demonstrate strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with schematics, calibration procedures, and field service operations. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including control panels, wiring, and instrumentation in manufacturing environments. Maintain and calibrate sensors, vision inspection systems, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate operation. Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals to facilitate effective maintenance. Program, troubleshoot, and optimize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to support automation processes. Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical equipment such as CNC machines, motors, sensors, and high-voltage systems. Utilize testing devices including ohmmeters and calibration tools to diagnose faults accurately. Perform field service tasks at customer sites or within facilities to ensure minimal downtime. Support the integration of electrical components with mechanical systems using AutoCAD or similar design software. Assist in the installation of new equipment while adhering to safety standards for high voltage and low voltage systems. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop schematics and improve system reliability. Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to electrical work in industrial settings. Skills Extensive experience with industrial electrical systems, including high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) applications. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Strong mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment maintenance. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and automation software such as Calypso. Familiarity with sensors, vision inspection systems, CNC machinery, and calibration procedures. Ability to operate precision measuring instruments like ohmmeters for accurate diagnostics. Knowledge of hydraulics is advantageous for integrated system troubleshooting. Experience working in industrial maintenance environments within manufacturing sectors or military settings is preferred. Skilled in using AutoCAD for designing or modifying electrical layouts. Excellent customer service skills when providing field service support or technical assistance. Understanding of safety protocols related to high-voltage work environments.
