Electrical Technician Department:
Shop Summary Driver Source is seeking a dependable and skilled Electrical Technician who performs maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems by applying electrical principles. Duties and Responsibilities Component Repair:
Repairing and replacing defective parts in controllers, switchboards, switches, conductors, and other electrical fixtures. Machinery Maintenance:
Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical components of machinery and equipment, including transformers, generators, exciters, and hydraulic and pneumatic devices. Field Systems:
Performing preventive repair and maintenance of field electrical systems, devices, equipment, and components. Circuit Testing:
Testing solid-state circuitry to find defective parts in digital and analog equipment, specifically cell prox circuits for frequency and 4-20 milliamp control circuits. Subsystem Upgrades:
Installing enhancements and major upgrades to electrical subsystems. Circuit Design:
Designing and modifying motor power control equipment circuits, 1. reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Coordination:
Preparing schedules and coordinating activities with other divisions and sections. Work Planning:
Planning and laying out work orders or work from instructions, using sketches, blueprints, and drawings. Quality Assurance:
Ensuring the accuracy and completion of all preventive maintenance duties. Initiatives Inventory Balance:
Improve management of parts to find a balance between availability, cost, and stock levels. Safety First:
Promote operations in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. Problem Solving:
Identify solutions to unique and complex problems. Physical Demands & Environment Frequent Lifting:
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Occasional Heavy Lifting:
Able to lift 65 lbs from floor to shoulder level occasionally. Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs. Mobility:
Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hands, and fingers. Confined Spaces:
