Job Summary:
Laser Operator Our client is seeking a skilled Laser Operator to support precision manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined manufacturing professional with experience operating programmable equipment, interpreting technical drawings, and producing high-quality work with precision. The ideal candidate brings a strong sense of ownership, technical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while maintaining productivity, safety, and quality standards. This role is onsite in Beaverton, Oregon.
Swing Shift:
Tuesday'Friday, 1:00 PM'11:30 PM (training schedule 10:00 AM'8:30 PM). Some flexibility may be available based on candidate availability. Laser Operator Responsibilities Set up, program, and operate laser manufacturing equipment to support precision production requirements while meeting established quality and productivity expectations. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions to ensure accurate part production. Perform in-process inspections using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related inspection equipment. Troubleshoot basic equipment, programming, or process issues and escalate more complex technical concerns as needed. Support routine equipment upkeep, setup adjustments, and minor maintenance activities to maintain operational efficiency. Monitor machine performance, material quality, and output consistency to minimize downtime and production errors. Accurately document production activity, inspection findings, and any process adjustments made during operation. Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve issues and improve workflow efficiency. Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment. Laser Operator Qualifications 1+ years of experience operating laser equipment, CNC machinery, or similar programmable manufacturing equipment in a production environment. Experience with basic machine programming, setup adjustments, or modifying existing programs. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, prints, schematics, or technical manufacturing documentation. Hands-on experience using precision measurement and inspection tools. Basic electronics knowledge and strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to troubleshoot production equipment issues and think critically in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Strong productivity mindset with the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and quality. Experience supporting regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environments is a plus. Technical training, coursework, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience is preferred.
Salary:
