How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be involved with assembly, disassembly, quality testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and mechanical equipment in a fast-paced customer service environment.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
1. Technical skills & Problem-solving:
Proficiency in DC-AC, solid state theory, audio signals, video signals, and applications;
Read and understand complex assembly drawings, schematics, and test procedures;
Possess the ability to solder to the component level;
Ability to read and operate various measuring equipment related to electronics (Oscilloscope, digital multi-meters, signal analyzers, multi-meters, mega ohm meter, calipers, other measuring devices, etc.);
Possess a general knowledge of the use and operation of basic hand and power tools.
Have excellent problem solving and decision making skills;
Experience with building and troubleshooting wiring harnesses.
Working knowledge of basic clutch and bearing systems.
Excellent knowledge of a motor and its internal components
2. Communication & Teamwork:
Ability to accurately annotate and maintain repair documentation.
Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Possess basic computer skills.
3. Reliability:
Possess good attendance and work ethic
Be punctual and have a good attendance record.
Have the flexibility to work overtime when required.

Required Experience
Candidate must have aminimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent military experiencein an electrical-mechanical field.
Preferred minimum of 2 years' verifiable experience as an electronics technician
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
High level of mechanical and electrical competency;
Experience in design, repair, analysis of electronic systems;
Familiarity with standard Microsoft Office tools;
