Engineering Technician II
Position Description:
Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire Engineering Technician II opportunity.
Job Description:
The Engineering Technician II is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of testing solutions to solve technical problems in research and development and manufacturing. To be successful the Engineering Technician II must be capable of the following progressivelyplex instructions and test plans; understanding and executing data collection and analysis; and managing shifting priorities while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Job Responsibilities:
Promote and maintain a safe work environment by following all safety related policies and highlighting opportunities for improvement Support Engineering in developing and executing test plans Support Engineering by providing feedback on fixtures/tooling requirements for new products and existing products Support Engineering in the development and execution of Engineering Change Orders (ECO's) Utilize data collection and statistical analysis methods as defined in test plans and root cause analysis Support Manufacturing by problem solving when issues arise Address root cause and corrective action with teams when an issue is discovered either internally or externally Perform other duties as assigned by management to support operational performance.
Job Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required 4-year degree or 5 years of progressive growth experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Must possess strongmunication and interpersonal skills Excellent problem-solving skills with an extreme attention to detail Ability to followplex instructions with limited supervision while also managing multiple priorities concurrently Excellent PC skills Ability and basic knowledge in working with machine shop equipment Basic experience in working with measurement equipment such as rulers, calipers, DMM, etc. Must be data driven and use data to drive root cause analysis and corrective action
