Job Summary:

Job Description This position requires a Maintenance Mechanic to support the department's mission by performing installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment in a manufacturing environment. The role involves working under minimal supervision, either independently or as part of a team, to ensure the safety and functionality of production operations and facility systems. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair all assigned department equipment under minimal supervision. Identify, implement, and exercise independent judgment within established guidelines for preventative maintenance and determining necessary actions during shift issues affecting production operations or facility safety. Perform preventative maintenance tasks. Troubleshoot furnace operations using Siemens PLC. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills 5+ years of professional experience or equivalent technical training in maintenance of pneumatic, electrical, vacuum, or mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment. Experience troubleshooting and repairing semi or fully automated equipment. Proficiency in English, both written and oral communication. Ability to observe, analyze, interpret situations, and solve mechanical and electrical equipment problems. Experience with Siemens PLC hardware and software troubleshooting. Proficient use of a digital multimeter (DMM) for troubleshooting. Capability to prioritize changing tasks and duties. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the workplace. Additional Skills & Qualifications Technical training or coursework in industrial equipment engineering and troubleshooting through technical school or trade experience is highly desired. Equivalent combination of education, experience, and knowledge may substitute for up to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment in a technical role. Level III candidates should have 7+ years of advancing positions in technical experience as a mechanic or electrics/controls/electronics/automation technician.
