In this role, you will support plant operations by performing PLC programming, troubleshooting electrical systems, maintaining equipment reliability, and ensuring minimal downtime. You will work hands on with modern automation systems, collaborate with skilled technicians, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair plant operating systems with minimal downtimeDiagnose issues with electrical components, PLCs, and control systemsRead and interpret electrical drawings and schematicsPerform PLC programming changes and modifications (Allen Bradley, Siemens)Program and troubleshoot VFDs and HMIs (PowerFlex, ABB, SEW drives, PanelView HMIs)Execute instrument calibration (DC loops, 4 to 20 mA, digital signals)Maintain equipment logs documenting repairs, calibrations, and performance issuesAnalyze electrical systems and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliabilityQualificationsAAS in Electrical Engineering or similar degree preferredMinimum 2 years of electronic or electrical maintenance experience (heavy manufacturing a plus)Ability to pass a written electronics examProgram and troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs and HMIsBenefitsAutomatic 4% 401k contribution + 50 percent match on the first 10 percent (up to 9 percent total additional contribution)Profit sharing program averaging 15% of annual salary over the past decadeProductivity bonus averaging $5,400 per yearHealth, dental, and vision insuranceTuition reimbursement and educational assistanceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending account
