Job Description

Job Summary Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair AC/DC motors and controls. Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and schematics. Mathematical ability to determine proper components and installation requirements in accordance with national and local electric codes. Proficient and knowledge of NEC 70 and NEC 70E. Proficient and demonstrated knowledge of VFD's PLC troubleshooting and programming. Excellent troubleshooting ability on electrical circuits from 24volts to 480vac. Ability to select proper sizing of fuses, breakers, equipment, wire and conduit all in accordance with NEC 70. Proven ability to interpret and troubleshoot PLC logics using a computer terminal or laptop. Proven ability to use Allen Bradley programming software Logics 500, Logics 5000. Thorough understanding of electrical lockout tag out programs. Complete set of tools are required to include but not limited to screw drivers, nut drivers, wrenches, fuse pullers, Amp probes, Volt meter, wire cutters, wire strippers, lineman pliers. Responsibilities Check with preceding shift what is down or requires attention. Continually monitor CMMS for break downs and work orders. Troubleshoot complex electrical problems in a timely manner. Work on "stock jobs" when no higher priority job exists. Work on special projects as directed by electrical supervisor or maintenance manager. Fill out "Parts to be ordered lists" as needed. Fill out daily time sheets. Inform oncoming electrical personnel of any unfinished jobs or problems. Clean job site and store tools in orderly manner. Ability to safely use scissor lifts, high lifts and fork trucks as needed. Repair building and facility equipment such as fans HBAC, gas heaters, boilers, Air compressors, air dryers. Record monthly db readings. Install machines as needed. Perform preventive maintenance. Convert machinery and controls as needed. Write PLC Programs. Design and draw electrical prints. Do "Speed Survey" Replace hoist cables when needed. Repair and maintain spare parts. Other jobs as requested. Qualifications Proven experience as an industrial electrician or electronic technician within manufacturing or industrial environments. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with hydraulics. Hands-on experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and high/low voltage systems. Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters efficiently. Experience with 480 Volts.

$31.14 per hour
