Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Control Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial processes and systems, and be proficient in reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics. This role requires a methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime of equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and diagrams. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot control systems including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, and related components. Perform diagnostics and repairs on industrial equipment and automation systems. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement system upgrades and improvements. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability. Document all work performed, including troubleshooting steps, repairs, and parts used. Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations. Assist in commissioning new equipment and systems. Provide technical support during equipment failures or process disruptions. Requirements Must have excellent attention to detail and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize. Ability to read and comprehend operation manuals, preventative maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Must be able to communicate and handle conflict in a professional manner. Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Allen-Bradley). Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints, both electrical and mechanical. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment. Experienced troubleshooting, repairing industrial production and facility equipment. Hydraulics, pneumatics, steam, and conveyor system experience. Strong foundation in electrical principles, including AC and DC circuits, 3-phase power systems, Motor Control and electrical safety. Preferred Skills Knowledge of safety systems and standards (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA). Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking. Ability to train and mentor junior technicians. Experience with industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus)
