Job Title:
Engineering Support Technician Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Support Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will perform engineering support activities, including hands-on construction and testing for the development of new or modified components or products. You will troubleshoot electrical device problems to ensure efficient resolution. Responsibilities Provide technical support and communication among the Prototype Build and Test team under the direction and guidance of a supervisor and other technicians. Assist in the efficient execution of building and testing 120V control panel test fixtures. Design, fabricate, or arrange for fabrication and testing of parts, components, and sub-systems. Review and mark drawings to support drafting and design documents. Coordinate between customers and other departments to design, build, and test component systems. Troubleshoot nonconforming systems and components for service, and make recommendations. Provide limited technical guidance and assistance to operators as necessary to complete and coordinate activities. Exchange technical information with vendors, customers, and inspectors for assigned products and components. Follow codes and procedures related to the job. Communicate technical information in written and verbal formats in a clear and precise manner. Adhere to the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications AS degree in engineering science (EE, EET preferred) and a minimum of 2 years direct work experience with electronic instrumentation, Experience working with 120V circuits. Experience troubleshooting basic electronic circuits. Experience using various hand tools for the fabrication of electronic/power assemblies and subassemblies. Experience using various hand crimp tools for the fabrication of wire harnesses is preferred. Experience soldering and removing both thru-hole and surface mount components at the PCB level. Strong ability to multitask. Ability to interact efficiently and cooperatively with engineers and technicians. Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven work environment. Comfortable using Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Work Environment The role is based in New Freedom, PA, within an engineering/lab environment. This is not a production role. The position offers two weeks of PTO and observes standard holidays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New Freedom, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
