The company serves universities, Fortune 500 corporate facilities, pharmaceutical campuses, and large industrial and manufacturing sites. This is a service-focused role based out of the Philadelphia area with no overnight travel required. Schedule Monday through Friday, standard business hours. Overtime is available for those who want it. Specific hours and any on-call rotation to be confirmed with the hiring manager. Compensation $85,000 - $115,000 Per Year. Competitive base salary commensurate with experience. What You'll Do As a Building Automation Technician, your primary responsibility will be performing routine and corrective service on building automation systems at client sites within approximately 30 miles of Philadelphia. You will diagnose and resolve system faults, perform scheduled preventative maintenance, and ensure BAS equipment is operating within specification across a diverse client portfolio. You will work with building automation controllers, sensors, actuators, and related HVAC control components, troubleshooting at both the hardware and software layers. Depending on the site and system, you may work with platforms from manufacturers including Johnson Controls Metasys, Honeywell, Tridium Niagara (AX and N4), Automated Logic, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Delta Controls, Alerton, or Carrier, among others. Familiarity with BACnet and Modbus communication protocols is relevant across most of the client base. Client sites include university campuses, large corporate facilities, pharmaceutical buildings, and industrial and manufacturing plants, each with their own operational requirements and system configurations. You will be expected to communicate clearly with facility managers and building engineers, document service activity accurately, and escalate complex issues to senior technical staff when appropriate. Required Qualifications 3 or more years of hands-on building automation system service and troubleshooting experience in commercial or institutional environments Working knowledge of BACnet and/or Modbus communication protocols Experience servicing BAS equipment from at least one major platform vendor (Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Tridium, Automated Logic, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Delta Controls, Alerton, or Carrier) Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, sequences of operation, and control diagrams Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Residence in Southeastern PA or Southern NJ (required for practical coverage of the 30-mile service territory) Preferred Qualifications 5 or more years of BAS field service experience Tridium Niagara N4 certification or Niagara AX certification Experience across multiple BAS platforms rather than a single manufacturer ecosystem Exposure to pharmaceutical, university, or large industrial facility environments Associate's or bachelor's degree in HVAC, mechanical technology, electrical technology, building automation, or a related field EPA 608 certification or equivalent HVAC credential Compensation and Benefits Competitive base salary commensurate with experience 401(k) with employer match Medical, dental, and vision coverage Take-home company vehicle with gas card and EZ Pass Company-issued cell phone and laptop or tablet Paid training and certification support Overtime available Paid time off To apply, submit your resume.
