Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Electrical Technician with a strong background in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems across our manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will ensure optimal operation of complex machinery, support continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold safety standards. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge automation technology in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage equipment across manufacturing lines. Maintain and calibrate sensors, vision inspection systems, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate operation. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and AutoCAD drawings for system installation and maintenance. Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) to optimize automation processes. Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical equipment such as CNC machines, sensors, distributed control systems (DCS), and motor controls. Support field service activities by diagnosing issues on-site at various facilities or customer locations. Ensure compliance with safety standards including E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation), high voltage protocols, and industry regulations. Skills Extensive experience with industrial electrical systems and maintenance practices. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and industrial machinery operation. Proficiency with PLC programming platforms such as Calypso or similar automation software. Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and utilize tools like ohmmeters for troubleshooting. Familiarity with vision inspection systems, sensors, calibration techniques, and CNC machinery. Experience working with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in manufacturing environments. Knowledge of AutoCAD for electrical design review and modifications. Background in industrial electrician work within manufacturing or military settings is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills for field service roles requiring direct client interaction.
