Overview As a Lead Installer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful installations of medical diagnostic imaging equipment in medical facilities, primarily. You will be the lead installer behind our installation, deinstallation & upgrade projects, ensuring they are completed on time and meet the highest standards of quality following compliance and safety standards. Essential Responsibilities as well as other assigned duties Acts as lead professional to determine most efficient & effective manner for equipment installation meeting customer expectations Performs full cycle installation of medical diagnostic equipment (installing, deinstalling, upgrading, etc.) Willingness to travel up to 90% including overnight travel; Overnight up to 10 days is required as needed. Effectively communicates with project manager, field engineer, contractors, corporate staff & others as related to job requirements & environment Has knowledge of electrical concepts/theories relating to equipment system boards Ability to read electronic schematics/prints Represents MEI, Inc. and the customer in a professional and courteous manner Maintains high level of quality & technical skills with attention to detail Provides initial assessment of job, daily update, alerts to job challenges & job handoffs Requires the ability to work closely with the customer in accurately describing issues at hand and form a corrective action plan Must have excellent communication skills, be punctual, and courteous in accordance with on-site etiquette Have ability to navigate and use: email, timekeeping app, text, Microsoft office products and the internet Train and mentor team members on best practices for installation and maintenance tasks Follows OSHA guidelines, and MEI's company & safety policies/guidelines along with MEI's quality ISO standards To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience/Education High school/GED education; Up to 2 years of technical training, preferred Up to 4 years of work experience in electrical, construction with exposure to electrical work, and/or mechanical installation Knowledge of electrical concepts/theories relating to equipment system boards Experience in reading schematics, drawings and/or blueprints Ability to use electronic measurement devices, power tools, hand tools, etc. Proven abilities in leadership role for 1-2 years or more Prior overnight travel experience for work, preferred Physical Demands Use of both hands and fingers with dexterity Great hand/eye coordination Ability to work from a 6' ladder Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. overhead of equipment working with another installer Language Skills Must be able to read, write and speak the English language Professionalism Maintain a professional appearance wearing Company provided shirts and other attire which should be clean without tears or rips, hair and facial hair is well-kempt, etc. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Provide and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
