TAB Technician Reynolds Engineering, LLC is a well-established firm with over 15 years of experience providing integrity-based testing and quality reporting for building systems across Texas.
We specialize in Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) services, but also perform other building performance testing. Our mission is to deliver accurate, unbiased results as a true third-party provider. We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Engineer to join our small, collaborative team and develop into a skilled TAB Technician. This role offers hands-on experience in a high-demand technical field, with a mix of fieldwork and report preparation. Position Overview You will perform Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing of HVAC and mechanical systems in commercial, institutional, retail, medical, and other buildings to ensure they operate efficiently and meet design specifications.
Key Responsibilities :
Daily use of precision instruments including manometers, tachometers, ammeters, and other calibrated testing equipment
Conduct on-site measurements, system adjustments, and performance testing
Analyze data and prepare detailed, accurate TAB reports
Travel to project sites throughout Texas (up to 30%)
Training is provided primarily on-the-job, with support for professional certifications. What We Offer

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or closely related field)
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks in varying site conditions
Strong attention to detail with good mathematical and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general experience in technical report writing. Prior TAB or HVAC experience is not required — we will train the right candidate. Preferred
Interest in HVAC systems, building mechanicals, or construction
