Job Description

Our Company PharMerica Overview The Pharmacy Automation Support Specialist works under the supervision of Manager, Automation primarily supporting pharmacy backend distribution and system integration with automated dispensing machines. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in non-retail pharmacy operations. Must be able to install, maintain, and support on-site pharmacy equipment.

Able to reside anywhere within the Continental USA.
Schedule :
Monday - Friday, hours are per business needs.

Competitive pay Health, dental, vision and life insurance benefits Company paid STD and LTD Employee Discount Program 401k Paid-time off Tuition reimbursement Non-retail/Closed-door environment Responsibilities Assists with automated dispensing machine integrations Proficient in dispense methods and pharmacy workflow associated with pharmacy automation Supports the installation of new units and relocation of existing units Gathers, analyzes, and interprets data, detects patterns, makes recommendations surrounding machine optimization Conducts regular performance reports and formulary reviews for automated dispensing machines Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and automation system enhancements Trains on staff on troubleshooting, best practices, cleaning procedures, preventive maintenance tasks, and ticketing protocols Monitors use of system and machines ensuring proper utilization, adherence to policy and procedure Provides ongoing support and guidance to Pharmacy Automation Technicians to optimize machine performance and minimize downtime Qualifications High School diploma required/ Associate Degree or greater preferred 3+ years as an Operator or higher on commercially available or proprietary pharmacy system focused on Long Term Care or Institutional pharmacy Foundational knowledge in Institutional or Long-term Care Pharmacy Communication - Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite - Intermediate Devoted to a task or purpose with integrity Curious, detail-oriented, and a quick learner Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well Demonstrates eagerness and interest Works well as a member of a team Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to upholding quality standards and best practices.
