Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail‑oriented individual to perform string instrument setup and finishing work on violins, violas, cellos, and basses. You do not need to be proficient in setting up all these types of instruments. This role is ideal for a luthier, woodworker, musician, music teacher, band director, carpenter, or anyone skilled with their hands who enjoys precision craftsmanship. This is a flexible, output‑based position where quality and completed work determine earnings—not hours worked. You may work onsite or in your own shop . Instruments need to be picked up from and delivered back to our shop. This position is offered as an independent contractor (1099) , with the potential to transition to full‑time employment for the right candidate.
