Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Wire EDM Repair Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing wire electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment to ensure optimal performance and precision. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on wire EDM machines to prevent downtime and extend equipment lifespan Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues using specialized tools and techniques Repair or replace faulty components such as wiring, motors, sensors, and control panels with precision and care Use measurement tools like ohmmeters to test electrical circuits and ensure proper functionality Document all repairs, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting procedures accurately in maintenance logs Collaborate with production teams to schedule repairs that minimize impact on manufacturing schedules Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment during all repair activities Qualifications Proven experience with wire EDM machine repair or similar precision machining equipment Strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical components, and hydraulic systems involved in EDM machinery Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams effectively Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting Prior experience with preventative maintenance programs is preferred Join us to be part of a forward-thinking organization that values technical expertise and proactive problem-solving.
