Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fiber Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and with hands-on experience in fiber optic installation. As a Fiber Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of the OSP network. Duties Install and troubleshoot fiber optic cabling systems in various environments. Safely operate machinery during the installation process when required Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure proper installation and functionality. Document work performed, including installation reports and test readings. Locate existing utilities in and around the jobsite Requirements Proven experience in fiber optic installation, maintenance, or related fields. Proficiency with electrical tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Familiarity with telecommunication systems. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and customers. Valid driver's license with good 3-year MVR is required.
