Full Job Description Description:
The Laser Track Technician I performs basic dimensional inspection and measurement tasks using portable laser tracking systems under close supervision. This role supports production, tooling verification, and quality assurance activities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist with setup and breakdown of laser tracker equipment. Operate laser tracker systems under supervision. Perform basic part inspections and collect measurement data. Verify fixture and tooling dimensions. Record data and generate basic inspection reports. Follow established metrology procedures and safety standards. Maintain equipment cleanliness and calibration logs.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred. 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or inspection. Basic understanding of blueprints and measurements. Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing fundamentals preferred. Attention to detail Mechanical aptitude Basic computer proficiency Strong work ethic

Physical Requirements:
May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach/pull/push with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly. May lift or carry 50lbs. Weights exceeding 50lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
Work Environment:
Exposure is frequent to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles - eye protection is required, and fumes, machine vibration, and noisy conditions, high temperatures, and occasional to a restricted space work area.
