Job Description

Job Overview As an Entry Level Fiber Splicer, you will be an essential part of a dynamic team dedicated to building and maintaining high-quality fiber optic networks. This role offers hands-on experience in fiber splicing, cable installation, and telecommunication infrastructure, providing a solid foundation for growth in the field. You'll work with experienced technicians to develop your skills in fiber optic technology, heavy equipment operation, and network infrastructure deployment—all while contributing to critical communication systems that keep communities connected. Duties Assist with fiber optic cable installation, splicing, and termination using hand tools and precision equipment Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks and power tools safely to reach elevated or hard-to-access areas Support the setup and maintenance of telecommunication systems, including cabling for LAN (Local Area Network), Ethernet, WAN (Wide Area Network), and telephony infrastructure Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation Collaborate with team members on construction projects involving cabling, network infrastructure, and IT infrastructure deployment Requirements Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction safety practices Willingness to learn fiber splicing techniques and telecommunication standards Ability to operate bucket trucks and heavy equipment following safety guidelines Strong interest in field service work with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving Good physical condition with the ability to climb ladders or poles and perform manual tasks for extended periods Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset This entry-level role is paid — offering valuable on-the-job training while helping you develop essential technical skills in a fast-growing industry.
Pay:
$18.00 - $26.00 per hour
