This role is PLC, hydraulic, and mechanical heavy, with a strong emphasis on methodical troubleshooting, safety, and documentation. This position is well-suited for technicians who prefer structured problem-solving, clear procedures, and doing work correctly the first time. What You'll Be Doing
  • Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled equipment, hydraulic systems, and mechanical assemblies
  • Troubleshoot control systems (PLC, HMI, AC/DC controls, sensors, relays, motors)
  • Identify intermittent, long-cycle, or hard-to-reproduce faults using logical, step-by-step methods
  • Perform hydraulic inspections, leak diagnosis, and component replacement safely
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout, stored energy awareness, grounding, and pressure isolation
  • Document findings, repairs, and corrective actions clearly for future reference
  • Operate a company-issued service truck to customer sites Required Qualifications
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in industrial equipment
  • Experience with PLC systems OR significant experience in control troubleshooting (AC or DC)
  • PLC and/or HMI experience preferred; heavy control troubleshooting and repair experience acceptable if no PLC/HMI background
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Ability to follow written procedures and safety protocols
  • Comfortable working independently and methodically
  • Clean driving record (required to operate a company-issued service truck)
  • Ability to accurately document work performed Preferred (Not Required)
  • PLC programming, diagnostics, or commissioning experience
  • HMI troubleshooting or configuration experience
  • Field service experience on industrial or commercial equipment
  • Experience diagnosing intermittent faults or long-runtime issues
  • Familiarity with structured troubleshooting methods or checklists What We Value
