Description:
Our Physics / Medical Laboratory and Consulting business is currently looking for a person to fill the position of Calibrator / Electronic Technician and follow our Laboratory's established calibration procedures to ensure accurate and consistent results. These procedures are essential in maintaining the integrity of the calibration process we offer to our customers that meets industry standards. The ideal candidate must balance multiple tasks, such as equipment maintenance, calibration work, and documentation generation. Must be able to prioritize tasks to manage their workload and complete assignments to keep up with the company's schedule. Plus provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing technical information as needed. The candidate would need experience in electronics and have knowledge in mathematics. Physics knowledge would be a plus. Bachelor's degree in Physics or Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or a related field is preferred. Extensive onsite training would be provided for a candidate that has the upfront required skill set. Excellent communication skills are crucial for a calibration technician, as they must convey information clearly to clients, colleagues, and supervisors. Strong computer skills would be needed as the laboratory processes often involve the use of specialized software to manage and document activities. Technicians must be meticulous in their work, as minor discrepancies in measurements can have significant consequences. A technician needs to carefully follow established procedures, document their work, and ensure that all measurements are accurate and reliable. Someone who will take responsibility and initiate tasks at hand to figure out problems, communicate, work in a team environment, and provide excellent customer service. Our company offers a relaxed work environment on the east side of Nashville with a four (4) and half day work week. Normal work hours would be 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday and Friday 7:00 am to 11:00 am. Competitive pay - hourly pay range for this position to start is $25.00 to $26.00 an hour depending on experience and education. Healthcare Medical insurance with additional Dental and Vision primarily paid by the company is available after 60 days of employment (employees have the option to buy insurance for additional family members at a discounted price). Paid time off after probationary period is completed. Optional participation in company retirement 401k program with company match percentage after six months of employment.
