Design Engineering Technician

Wolf Pump is seeking a Design Engineering Technician. Salary commensurate with experience. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply and discuss experience related to this position. A family-owned-and-operated company in Abernathy, Texas. Wolf Pump crafts high quality submersible turbine pumps for a variety of applications. The design technician position supports manufacturing and leads projects for product improvement and new products. The ideal candidate is a highly technical individual that desires to direct change and continuously strives for improvements to increase quality and value to our customers.

Specific Job Duties:

Coordinate engineering efforts on New Product Development, Design, Tooling, Testing and Implementation. Coordinate the activities of designers, drafters, technicians, to meet the needs of the Company. Coordinate and communicate with other departments as appropriate. Setup and run tests as appropriate. Support manufacturing. Establishes and plans for short-term and long-term department goals, budgets, and procedures for the department. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills Education:

4-year degree in Engineering discipline preferred (Mechanical or Electrical preferred). May consider 2-year degree with practical experience.

Experience Required:

Min 2-4 years' experience in designing. Manufacturing Environment preferred. Background with pumps, motors, or controls consider a plus. Experience with Creo preferred.

Working conditions:

Office and Manufacturing Environment on site in Abernathy, TX. Must be able to sit/stand/crouch/kneel for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 50lbs regularly during the course of a workday.

Travel:

Minimal, as deemed necessary for customer or supplier support.

Working hours:

M-F / 8:00am — 5:00pm. Extra work hours based on project need may be required. Wolf is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
