The ideal candidate will have experience with ribbon fiber splicing, fiber testing, and outside plant (OSP) fiber construction projects. Responsibilities Perform ribbon fiber splicing and fiber optic cable restoration. Read and interpret splice matrices and network documentation. Test fiber using OTDR and power meters. Install, prep, and splice fiber optic cables in various environments. Troubleshoot fiber network issues and provide detailed test results. Maintain accurate project documentation and as-built records. Follow all safety and quality standards. Requirements Experience with ribbon fiber splicing (required). Knowledge of single-mode and multi-mode fiber systems. Ability to read splice diagrams and construction prints. Experience operating OTDRs and fiber test equipment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Preferred Qualifications OSP fiber construction experience. Fusion splicing certifications. Experience with aerial and underground fiber networks. not required.
