About The Role Heads Up Technologies is seeking an Entry-Level Electronic Test Technician to support production testing operations for STG Aerospace lighting products. This role is critical to maintaining consistent testing flow and preventing production bottlenecks. The technician will focus on basic functional testing, inspection, and handling of lighting units (LRUs) to ensure all products meet quality standards before final testing and shipment. This is a hands-on, production-focused position designed for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and able to follow standardized procedures. What You'll Do Testing & Validation Perform bench testing on lighting units to verify proper operation (power-on, no flicker, correct color output) Execute burn-in testing (30-minute cycle; multiple units at once) to ensure stability and performance Support testing flow ahead of final system testing (STTE) by preparing and verifying units Identify and flag any failed or inconsistent units for further review Inspection & Basic Assembly Visually inspect lighting units and components for defects or inconsistencies Inspect and install light covers/lids to ensure proper fit and finish Attach connectors to units as required Production Support Help maintain steady throughput by ensuring units move efficiently through testing stages Follow all work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Maintain a clean and organized work area What will make you successful in this role (skills)?
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects Ability to follow written and verbal instructions closely Basic computer skills Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment Reliable, consistent work ethic Preferred Exposure to electronics or manufacturing environments Experience working with LED lighting or similar products
